• Salary Range: Negotiable
• Bi-Annual Salary Increment (Eligibility Condition Applies).

Job Overview:

NEXT Ventures Ltd. is seeking a meticulous and proactive finance professional to manage bookkeeping, VAT & tax compliance, and financial control. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, timely tax filings, and regulatory compliance, supporting the company’s financial integrity. Key responsibilities include maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing tax returns, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of VAT, taxation, financial reporting, and audit support, with a keen eye for process improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Financial Record Maintenance

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

VAT & Tax Compliance

• Ensure accurate VAT calculations, filing, and submission in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, withholding tax (AIT/TDS) calculations, and related documentation.
• Assist in responding to VAT and tax audits and queries from regulatory authorities.
• Stay updated on changes in tax and VAT laws and advise on necessary compliance measures.

Financial Control & Audit Support

• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Identify and suggest improvements in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Professional qualification eligible only CA-CC/CMA (Partly qualified).
• 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and tax compliance.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Experience with tax and VAT laws in Bangladesh and IFRS/GAAP compliance.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of Bangladeshi tax and VAT regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
